MBA Global Business Administration

The MBA Global Business Administration programme aims to create ethical and inclusive leaders and managers of the future who can embrace change and develop systems and processes within organisations that are flexible enough to adapt rapidly within a dynamic, technological, social and economic environment.

  • Develop a systematic understanding of the management of various business functions within an organisation, their internal management context as well as their external (global) context and its impact on the organisation.
  • Evaluate and integrate theory and practice in a wide range of situations.
  • Application of business and management-based concepts to a range of complex situations while considering their relationship and interaction within other areas of the business or organisation.
  • Develop a critical awareness of contemporary issues and advances in business and management, informed by leading research and practice within the field and its implications on an organisation or business sector.
  • Demonstrate an ability to acquire and analyse data to evaluate their relevance and validity and to synthesise a range of information in the context of new situations developing within organisations and industry.
  • Develop creativity in application of knowledge to solve complex issues facing firms, together with a practical understanding of consultancy driven research and enquiry that can be used to develop and interpret knowledge in business and management.
  • Develop ability to take an international perspective including understanding the impact of globalisation/ protectionism on businesses, societies and the environment.
  • Develop an advanced understanding of business continuity planning and of relevant implementation strategies. Specific focus is placed on stake holder integration, information exchange and crisis communication.

Entry Criteria

A 2:2 honours degree or equivalent, or a comparable professional qualification and ideally a minimum of two years management / supervisory experience. Applicants with significant work experience but without a formal Level 6 qualification will also be considered to access this Top-Up. We will consider a comparable professional or postgraduate qualification.
